Mosunmola "Mo" Abudu (born September 11, 1964 in London ) is a Nigerian media entrepreneur , personality and businesswoman . According to Forbes , she is "the most successful woman in Africa".

Life

Abudu spent her childhood and youth in the UK . She attended Ridgeway School, MidKent College, and West Kent College. In 2006 she founded EbonyLife TV, which can be received in 49 countries in Africa, the United Kingdom and the Caribbean . The broadcaster is based in Tinapa Resort, Calabar , Cross River State, Nigeria. The Hollywood Reporter named her one of the 25 most powerful women in the global television industry in 2013. In 2014 she received an honorary doctorate from Babcock University.

The Nigerian also founded the production company EbonyLife Films. For example, she produced the film The Wedding Party , which was considered the most successful Nollywood film until its sequel was released.

Mo Abudu also hosts her own TV show on M-Net called Moments with Mo , which is about lifestyle, health issues, culture, politics, entertainment, tradition, music and other social issues. High-ranking politicians, Nobel Prize winners and celebrities such as Hillary Clinton were guests .

The Nigerian lives in Lagos . She was married to Tokunbo Abudu and has a daughter and a son.
