The Paul Pietsch Verlage are a German publishing group . These include the publishers Motorbuch, Pietsch, Müller Rüschlikon and transpress as well as the Swiss publisher Bucheli. The publishing group was founded in 1962 by the former racing driver Paul Pietsch . The main topics are mobility , technology and leisure . The publications are mainly aimed at men.

history

The successful racing driver Paul Pietsch founded a publishing house with a few colleagues in 1946 from which the Motor Presse Stuttgart emerged . In 1962 he founded Motorbuch Verlag. It started with the guide series Now I help myself with repair instructions for cars and motorcycles. Promoted by the success, the publishing program was expanded to include new topics. In 1972 the Swiss Bucheli Verlag from Zug was taken over . The “Now I help myself” series has been supplemented with the repair instructions from bucheli Verlag. In 1979 the pietsch publishing house was founded with a focus on sport , water sports and nature sports .

Patricia Scholten, daughter of Paul Pietsch, took over the management of the publishing group in 1985. In 1990 the Swiss publisher Müller Rüschlikon with a focus on horses, dogs, diving and fishing was bought and in 1991 the publisher transpress, Berlin, with a focus on railways .

In 1995 the Schrader Verlag was taken over with titles on two- and four-wheeled classic cars ; In 2004 this was incorporated into the Motorbuch Verlag.
