Motor mill Groß Börnecke
The motor mill Groß Börnecke is a historic motor mill in Groß Börnecke in Saxony-Anhalt .
The mill was built in the 19th century within a courtyard in the village. The technical equipment has been completely preserved from this time, using the technology of a windmill . There are millstones , meal gear , roller mill and blow nose mill . The separator and mixer as well as the cleaning system have also been preserved. In addition, there are auxiliary mills such as elevators, lifts, screw conveyors and grain reception .
Since the state did not allow the family member taking over the mill to be economically independent during the GDR era, the technically necessary modernizations were not carried out, so that the historical facility has been preserved. Today the mill works mainly for its own use. In addition, the mill takes part in campaigns such as the German Milling Day and thus serves museum purposes.
