Hans Wesker

Hans Wesker (* 1950 in Vreden ) is a German painter and sound artist.

Live and act

After studying free graphics (1970–1974) at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and studying (1974–1978) at the Braunschweig University of Art , he has been working as a freelance artist in Braunschweig since 1989. After initially preoccupying with painting, his artistic work has increasingly concentrated on spaces and the exploration of sounds in space since 1992. Several study trips to Marrakech (Morocco), 2010 in Cameroon and 2014 in Mumbai (India) led to sound-space-installations that traced the strange nature of the sounds and realized them in complex installations. Wesker is a member of the German Association of Artists .

Permanent sound installations can be found in the Frankfurt / Oder telecommunications center (Große Ferne) and the Harzblicke sound object in the Wernigerode Harz public park.

Hans Wesker's work was included in the " Lower Saxony artist database and estate archive ".
