The Motte Beningsfeld or Motte Penningsfeld was a small medieval to modern moth or mound castle secured by moats , possibly also a low castle in the village of Beningsfeld in the Refrath district of Bergisch Gladbach in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The Beningsfeld moth was originally a one-piece medieval moth. Only remnants of the former moth hill and the surrounding ditch are preserved above ground. The ground monument Motte Beningsfeld is the archaeological legacy of the medieval Motte and the modern successions and conversions. Today there is a riding arena here.
