Mount Adamson is a 3400 m high mountain that rises 10.5 km east-northeast of Mount Hewson in the Deep Freeze Range of the East Antarctic Victoria Land.
The northern group of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1965-1966) named him after the geologist Robert G. Adamson (* 1940), a member of the group.
