Mount Anglem ( Māori Hananui ) is 980 m, the highest point on Stewart Island in southern New Zealand . It is located 20 kilometers northwest of Oban near the north coast of the island. Like most of Stewart Island, Mount Anglem has been within the boundaries of Rakiura National Park since March 9, 2002 . At the foot of the mountain there are glacial lakes that were formed when there was still a glacier there. On a clear day you can see the southern tip of New Zealand's South Island from the summit .
