Mount Ferguson is an irregularly shaped and 1190 m high massif in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises up in the Prince Olav Mountains in the southern part of the Mayer Crags on the west side of the Liv Glacier .
Participants in the Byrd Antarctic Expedition (1928–1930) discovered and photographed him. The mountain is named after Homer L. Ferguson (1873–1953), managing director of Newport News Shipbuilding , which was involved in the conversion and repair of the ships used on the research trip .
