Mount Heekin is a large mountain in the Ross Dependency of Antarctica . In the Queen Maud Mountains, it towers over the north side of the mouth of the Baldwin Glacier and the Shackleton Glacier .
Participants of the United States Navy undertaken Operation Highjump (1946-1947) discovered him during a flight on 16 February 1947. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him 1962 after Lieutenant Robert Patrick Heekin (1920-1983), who in this flight acted as a navigator to the geographic south pole.
