Mount Kopere is a mountain in the Ross Dependency of Antarctica . In the Churchill Mountains, it rises 2.5 km northwest of Lyttelton Peak in the center of the Cobham Range .
Participants in the 1964-1965 campaign as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition to explore the Holyoake Range , the Cobham Range and the Queen Elizabeth Range named the mountain after the Māori word for " arrow " . It is named after the cross-sectional shape of the mountain, which is reminiscent of an arrowhead.
