The Mount Liamuiga (also: Mount Misery ) is a 1,156  m high stratovolcano on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts .

In the steep-walled crater, which has a diameter of about one kilometer, there was a shallow crater lake until 1959 . Today active fumaroles can be found inside the crater . There are several lava domes on the flanks of the volcano . The last eruptions less than 2000 years ago resulted in pyroclastic flows and mudslides , the material of which is now building up the coastal areas at the foot of the volcano. Further outbreaks were reported in 1692 and 1843, but these are now in doubt. Between 1988 and 1989 and between 1999 and 2000 there were several earthquakes that caused landslides inside the crater.
