Mount Medina is a striking, icy and 1,845 m high mountain in southern Grahamland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises in the northeastern part of the Hadley Upland above the head end of the Gibbs Glacier .
Trimetrogon images of the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948) from November 1947 were used for mapping. The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out surveys in December 1958. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on August 31, 1962 after the Spanish cosmographer Pedro de Medina (1493–1567), author of the 1545 navigation manual Arte de Navegar .
