At 975 m, Mount Pendragon is the highest mountain on Elephant Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises 2.5 km northwest of Cape Lookout in the south of the island.
Participants in the UK Joint Services Expedition (1970–1971) mapped it. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him on November 3, 1971 after Charles, Prince of Wales (* 1948), the patron of the expedition, who as the English heir to the throne bears the Welsh title Pendragon .
