Mount Pratt is the northernmost nunatak of the Grosvenor Mountains . It is located directly east of the area where the Mill Stream Glacier was formed and a little over 17 miles north of Block Peak .
He was discovered by the US polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd while flying to the South Pole on November 29, 1929 as part of his first Antarctic expedition (1928–1930). It is named after Thomas B. Pratt, a sponsor and supporter of the expedition.
