Mount Ramsay is a 475 m high mountain on Laurie Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It rises on the west bank of the Uruguay Cove .
Participants in the Scottish National Antarctic Expedition (1902-1904) led by William Speirs Bruce mapped them. Bruce named them after Allan George Ramsay (1878-1903), chief engineer on the research ship Scotia on this research trip, who died on August 6, 1903 of complications from heart disease while staying in Scotia Bay and whose grave is at the foot of this mountain .
