Mount Rogers is the highest mountain in the US state of Virginia . It belongs to the mountain range of the Blue Ridge Mountains . The mountain is 1,746 meters above mean sea level, the summit is located in Grayson County about 10 kilometers from Trout Dale . It is part of the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area . It can be reached very easily via designated hiking trails.
It was named after William Barton Rogers .
