Mount Tuatara is a 1640  m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . As the northern foothills of the Churchill Mountains, it rises around 11 km west of Mount Hamilton on the southern flank of the Byrd Glacier .

Participants of a campaign carried out from 1960 to 1961 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named it after the appearance of its summit ridge, which is reminiscent of the spiky back of a bridge lizard ( Tuatara in English ).
