The Mount Twynam is the third highest mountain in mainland Australia , he is in New South Wales and is part of the Kosciuszko National Park .

Mount Twynam is located in the Main Range of the Snowy Mountains . A mountain range in the southeast of the Great Dividing Range is referred to as the Snowy Mountains . The mountain is 7.1 kilometers from Australia's highest mainland mountain, Mount Kosciuszko . From the top of the mountain there is a distant view of Blue Lake and Western Falls.

It can be reached via the Alpine Way , from which a road branches off that ends near the mountain. Mount Twynam is rounded off by erosion . It is hardly ever hiked.

Carruthers Peak , Mount Northcote , Mount Tate , Mount Townsend , Mount Perisher and Back Perisher Mountain are in the vicinity .
