Movimento Brasil Livre (MBL) is a social movement in Brazil based in São Paulo . The group is led by the activist Kim Kataguiri and fights for the introduction of a liberal economic policy .

The group was founded in 2014 after a serious corruption scandal in business and government ( Operation Lava Jato ) became known and received national attention especially in 2015 after it carried out the most successful protests in recent history. The three waves of protests on March 15, April 12 and August 16, 2015 were primarily directed against corruption in the government, but since August 16, 2015 also called for the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff , [out of date] according to a survey Supported by 66 percent of the population.

The movement sees competition and the free market economy as solutions to the problems of the economy. Her five goals are the realization of the freedom of the press , of economic freedom , separation of powers , free and fair elections and an end to direct and indirect financing of dictatorships.
