Mr. Blobby is the name of a larger-than-life plastic doll created by British TV presenter Noel Edmonds and featured on his entertainment program Noel's House Party . Mr Blobby was a cone-shaped, dusky pink figure with large, yellow, circular spots.

For Christmas 1993, the producers Paul Shaw and David Rogers released the title Mr. Blobby as a single under the name Mr Blobby . This rose to number three in the British singles chart at the end of November 1993 and reached number one in the second week. The following week, Mr. Blobby was ousted by Take That and their single Babe , but then left the teenage idols behind and became a Christmas number one hitagain the top position. Overall, the title was number one three times and seven weeks in the top 10 in the British charts and sold more than a million times. The music broadcaster MTV refused, however, to play the video (in which, among other things, the videos for Stay by Shakespears Sister , Addicted to Love by Robert Palmer and I Can't Dance by Genesis ) in its program.
Two years later, another single was released for the holiday season under the title Christmas in Blobbyland . But the concept no longer worked and the single flopped.
Mr. Blobby made a guest appearance in 2005 in Peter Kay's video for (Is This the Way To) Amarillo .
