Mucklescarf Island is a 60 m long island west of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the Léonie Islands group , it is located 200 m northeast of Kirsty Island . About 2% of the worldwide population of the blue-eyed shag ( Phalacrocorax atriceps ) are native here.
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it 2018. Muckle scarf is one of the Shetland Islands usual term for a dab .
