Mohammed al-Gaddafi

Muhammad Muammar al-Gaddafi (* 1970 ; Arabic محمد القذافي, DMG Muḥammad al-Qaḏḏāfī ) is the eldest son of the former Libyan ruler Muammar al-Gaddafi .

Gaddafi is a computer scientist, former owner of the Libyan cell phone companies Libyanna and Al-Madar and former chairman of the Libyan Olympic Committee.

Against the background of the Libyan civil war , Interpol issued a warning regarding Muhammad, and he was also on the EU's sanctions list . Gaddafi fled to Algeria with a few other relatives on August 29, 2011 .

In October 2012, Mohammed al-Gaddafi's group left Algeria and is in Oman , where they were granted asylum.
