Muhammad Salih al-Farfur

Muhammad Salih al-Farfur , also Mohammed Salih al-Farfur ( Arabic صالح الفرفور, DMG Ṣāliḥ al-Farfūr , b. 1901 ; died July 9, 1986 in Damascus ), was an influential Islamic scholar and founder of the “Maʿhad al-Fatḥ” institute.

He comes from a well-known, strictly religious family, the Banū Farfūr, who have produced special personalities for centuries, from Muslim scholars to Sharia judges and linguists. Badru ʿd-dīn al-Ḥasanī, one of the few leading scholars of hadith of the 20th century , was one of his teachers . He also gained notoriety for his very generous behavior. The books he wrote include: “an-nasāʾiyyātu mina ʾl-aḥādīṯi ʾn-nabawiyyati ʾš-šarīfah” and “Fiqhu s-sīrati ʾn-nabawiyyah” (Understanding the Prophetic Biography) and fi ʾl-islām ”(Treatise on Legal Provisions Relating to Mosques ).
