Mukluk Island is a small, boot-shaped island off the Ingrid Christensen coast of Princess Elisabeth Land in East Antarctica . It belongs to the Donskiye Islands off the Breidnes Peninsula in the Vestfold Mountains and is the largest island west of Redfern Island .
Australian scientists named them after the Inuktitut language for Eskimo boots .
