The Mumm Islands ( French Îles Mumm ) are a group of several small islands off the Graham coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . As part of the Wilhelm Archipelago , they are 2.5 km northwest of Turquet Point on Booth Island .
Participants of the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903-1905) under the direction of Jean-Baptiste Charcot discovered them. Charcot named it after the champagne producer GH Mumm (1827–1907), from whom he had brought champagne of the "Courdon Rouge" brand with him on this research trip.
