Munich Animals are a German power chair hockey (formerly electric wheelchair hockey; short: e-hockey) team from Munich . The Munich Animals have played with one team in the Bundesliga since the league game was founded in 2005 .

history

The first attempts at electric wheelchair hockey were made in the early 1970s in the school yard of the Pfennigparade in Munich. Regular training has been offered since 1982 and in 1986 the team played their first e-hockey tournament in Neckargemünd near Heidelberg. In 1990 the team from Munich, team name "Munich Animals", changed the club and joined TSV Forstenried-München e. V. at.

In 1994 the Munich team became German champions for the first time, which at that time was still determined in a tournament. The second title followed in the next year. From 1997 to 2004 they were champions eight times in a row. The Animals were a founding member of the electric wheelchair Bundesliga and have been a part of it continuously since 2005. Further German championships followed in 2011 and 2015. Several vice championships were added. The people of Munich have been one of the top teams in power chair hockey in Germany and Europe for years and repeatedly provide players for the German national power chair hockey team .
