Munich Creative Business Week

The Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW) is aimed at designers , design agencies, design-savvy companies and private individuals. During the annual event week, numerous events are offered at various locations in Munich and the Munich area.

Focus

Designers present their work at exhibitions, conferences, workshops and tours through companies and exchange ideas with design enthusiasts from all over the world. The thematic orientation of the MCBW is based on current social trends and discussions and is redefined every year.

  • Since 2018, the MCBW events have been divided into two program areas: The “Design Show!” Is aimed at citizens interested in design. Trends in design are conveyed in exhibitions, hands-on activities and panel discussions .
  • The "Create Business!" Area appeals to the specialist audience. At conferences, workshops and lectures, designers and clients can network and present new ideas.

Munich Creative Business Week has been held once a year since 2012. Around 200 program partners take part in the design week with their own events. In addition to well-known international corporations, start-ups are taking part, using the MCBW as a platform to present their ideas and business models.

The Munich Creative Business Week is a platform for Bavaria as a design location: the event enables Bavarian designers and companies to show how creative they are. The international design week is known and respected both in the professional world and by the public. The number of visitors increases from year to year, at the 7th MCBW in 2018 over 70,000 visitors came.

The MCBW is organized by Bayern Design and funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Technology and the City of Munich . The founding partner is iF International Forum Design GmbH.

participation

Anyone interested in design can join the MCBW. Most of the events are free of charge and open to the public without prior registration.

For selected workshops and conferences you have to register in advance and pay a participation fee.

Designers, creators and entrepreneurs can also take part in the MCBW as program partners. If you want to take part, you have to apply in advance.
