Murilo Benício
Murilo Benício Ribeiro (born July 13, 1971 in Niterói , Rio de Janeiro , Brazil ) is a Brazilian actor .
Life
Murilo Benício is the youngest of four brothers, his parents are Mário Luis Ribeiro and Berenice Benício. He became interested in the theater at the age of 10 after seeing a film with Charles Chaplin . At this age he boarded the bus to Rio alone and left his hometown Niterói to study at the Teatro Tablado. In 1989 he went to California to become an actor. In San Francisco he worked as a cleaner, waiter and pizza delivery boy to make a living. He later returned to Brazil and auditioned at an actor's workshop for Rede Globo during the holidays . Benício started acting at the age of 21.
Benicio's television roles include the Brazilian telenovelas O Clone and América . The episodes aired in Brazil, the United States, Russia and numerous other countries in Latin America, Asia and Europe. He is known for his film roles in Woman on Top with Penélope Cruz and Amores Possíveis. In 2012 he played "Tufão" in the telenovela Avenida Brasil '.
Benício has two sons with actresses Alessandra Negrini and Giovanna Antonelli .
