Peugeot Museum
The Peugeot Museum (French: Musée de l'Aventure Peugeot ) is a museum of the French car brand Peugeot . It is located in Sochaux , France , where the largest Peugeot automobile factory is located. The museum, which opened in June 1988, was enlarged in June 2000 and has so far had around 1.6 million visitors (around 100,000 per year).
Collections
The Peugeot Museum shows the history of the Peugeot company, which began with the production of saw blades, watch springs, mills and hardware . Most of the 10,000 square meter exhibition area with decorations from the respective era is dedicated to automobile history, in which the year 1890 marked the beginning of automobile construction with the development of a motorized " velocipede ". Today the museum exhibits around 100 automobiles as well as 50 bicycles and motorcycles. In the non-publicly accessible depot of around 35,000 square meters, the museum has around 350 other car models and 250 other two-wheelers. The museum also shows many car models and objects related to the Peugeot brand.
