Musée du harcèlement de rue

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Musée du harcèlement de rue (MdHR) is a fictional museum of the city of Lausanne. The "museum", which is to be "opened as soon as possible", is part of a wide-ranging campaign in Zurich, Bern and Lausanne against sexual harassment in public spaces. The metaphor of the museum is intended to express that sexual harassment should be a thing of the past as soon as possible. In the video of the campaign you can therefore see the well-known comedian Yann Marguet , who leads through the fictional exhibition and introduces the "primitive behaviors of bygone times".

The campaign stimulates thought with humor and demands respect for women, but also for lesbians , homosexuals , bisexuals , transsexuals , transgender and intersex people .

As part of the campaign, posters will also be hung all over the city and 15-second video spots will run on the information screens in the vehicles of the Transports publics de la région lausannoise (tl). An information brochure shows u. a. the criminal liability of sexual harassment.

The internationally acclaimed campaign was realized and carried out by the city of Lausanne in cooperation with organizations from the fields of prevention, gastronomy and mobility such as B. the Fondation PROFA , the Fondation vaudoise contre l'alcoolisme (FVA), VoGay , GastroLausanne and the Transports publics de la région lausannoise (tl). At the end of 2019, the offer was supplemented by a mobile app and website, which should make it easier to report harassment.
