Musaed Rashed A Alharoun

Musaed Rashed A Alharoun (* 1951 ) is a Kuwaiti politician and diplomat .

Life

He holds a Masters Degree in Educational Management from the University of San Francisco and a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology from Indiana University. There he also earned a Ph.D. in education. He also studied at Harvard University in Cambridge .

In 1972 he took over the management of the youth protection department of the University of Kuwait . In 1980 he was Dean of Student Affairs at the university. In 1985 he joined the Kuwaiti diplomatic service and became a cultural advisor at the Kuwaiti Embassy in Washington, DC , USA . After four years he returned to Kuwait University and taught educational administration. In the same year he became Undersecretary, first in the Ministry of Universities, then in the Ministry of Education.

From 1998 to 2001 he was Kuwait's permanent representative to UNESCO . This was followed by a time as Kuwaiti Minister for Education and Universities from 2001 to 2003. In 2004 he returned to the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry.

On February 7, 2005, he was accredited as the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Canada . On April 20, 2010, he took over the post of ambassador to Germany . Najeeb Al-Bader has been Kuwaiti Ambassador to Germany since September 20, 2018 .
