The muscle procerus ("slim muscle") is a skin muscle in the area of the nose and belongs to the mimic muscles . In humans, it is a small muscle band that is located on the bridge of the nose. The muscle arises from the fascia above the nasal bone and the upper part of the lateral nasal cartilage and radiates into the forehead skin between the eyebrows , where the muscle fibers cross with those of the frontalis muscle . The muscle pulls the skin down between the eyebrows and creates transverse wrinkles in the area of the bridge of the nose.
