Museo Casa de la Memoria

The Museo Casa de la Memoria (German House of Memory ) is a museum in Medellín with a large permanent exhibition that commemorates the drug and civil wars in Colombia since 1948.

The museum is located in a futuristic concrete building that resembles a tunnel. This was designed by Jorge A. Gaviria.

The museum opened in 2011.

The museum commemorates the victims and perpetrators of the war. In addition to exhibition exhibits and information boards, the focus is on interactive screens on which individual victims' fates are reported.

Events

Events such as lectures and discussions take place. It also provides opportunities for human rights activists and victims to meet.
