Alpine Museum

The Museum Alpin ( Rhaeto-Romanic in the idiom Puter for Alpine Museum or Alpine Museum ) in Pontresina is a local history museum .

It is located on Via Maistra in the Chesa Delnon , an Engadine house from the 17th century.

Permanent exhibitions show the traditional Engadine house, an SAC hut and its inventory, the history of the Bündner hunt, the minerals of the Engadine and the history of regional mining . In addition, the fauna and flora of Val Bernina and the Upper Engadine are presented to the public using multimedia .

Special exhibitions often relate to the special position of tourism in the Upper Engadin and the cultural changes that it brought with it.
