Museum Association of Saxony-Anhalt

The Museumsverband Sachsen-Anhalt eV is a registered association based in Bernburg . It is a professional association for the museums in the state of Saxony-Anhalt ( see: List of museums in Saxony-Anhalt ) and at the same time represents their interests towards the state of Saxony-Anhalt and the German Museum Association . It was founded in 1990 and is funded by the state of Saxony-Anhalt . Ulf Dräger has been chairman of the honorary board of management since 2018 .

tasks

The association advises state and municipal institutions in the field of museums and is funded by the state of Saxony-Anhalt . The association's tasks include, among other things, expert work and advice, further training for museum staff and exchanges with other museum associations in Germany and the International Council of Museums . The Saxony-Anhalt Museum Association also oversees various museum education projects in cooperation with the Saxony-Anhalt Ministry of Education .
