The Ministry of Education of the State of Saxony-Anhalt is a State Ministry of Saxony-Anhalt . The seat is at Turmschanzenstrasse 32 in the area of the former Angerkaserne in Magdeburg .
The Ministry is headed by Minister Marco Tullner .

history
After the Second World War, there were initially no ministries. In the “Provincial Administration of Saxony” formed in 1945, a vice-president was responsible for schools and universities. In 1946 a Ministry for Popular Education, Art and Science was founded, which was called the Ministry for Popular Education from 1949 and existed until the state was dissolved in 1952.
With the re-establishment of the state of Saxony-Anhalt in 1990, a ministry for education, science and culture was founded. In 1991 this was divided into the Ministry for Science and Research and the Ministry for School, Adult Education and Culture , the latter being renamed the Ministry of Culture in the same year . It has had its current name since 2016.
