The Ministry for the Environment, Agriculture and Energy of the State of Saxony-Anhalt (MULE) is a ministry of the state government of Saxony-Anhalt .

The authority is headed by Minister Claudia Dalbert , with Klaus Rehda (Head of Office) and Ralf-Peter Weber assisting her as State Secretaries.

After the Second World War, there were initially no ministries. In the "Provincial Administration of Saxony" formed in 1945, a vice-president was responsible for agriculture and forestry. In 1946 the Ministry of Agriculture was founded, which was renamed the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in 1950 and existed as such until the state was dissolved in 1952.

With the re-establishment of the state of Saxony-Anhalt in 1990, a Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forests and a Ministry for Environment and Nature Conservation were founded. In 1994 the Ministry of the Environment was transformed into the Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Regional Planning , and in 1996 both ministries were merged to form the Ministry of Regional Planning, Agriculture and the Environment . In 1998 the ministry was again divided into the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry and the Ministry of Spatial Planning and Environment , but in 2000 it was merged again under the previous name. In 2002 it was named Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , and since 2016 it has had its current name.

The state regulatory authority of the state of Saxony-Anhalt has its seat at the ministry responsible for the energy industry and thus in the ministry for the environment, agriculture and energy. Its activities are not bound by instructions from the Ministry.
