The State Office for Environmental Protection (LAU) is a state authority of the State of Saxony-Anhalt . It is subordinate to the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Energy . The office is headquartered in Halle with branch offices in Magdeburg , Steckby , Iden and Osterburg .
tasks
The State Office for Environmental Protection advises and supports the Ministry and the state's upper and lower water authorities in technical issues. Measurements and examinations as well as the ongoing maintenance of the environmental information system are used for this.
