Claudia Dalbert (born August 9, 1954 in Cologne ) is a German psychologist , professor at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and a politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). Since April 25, 2016, she has been Minister for Environment, Agriculture and Energy in the Haseloff II cabinet and 2nd deputy to the Prime Minister of Saxony-Anhalt .

University

From 1973 to 1979 she studied psychology at the University of Trier . Her doctorate took place in Trier in 1987 . From 1979 to 1995 she worked as a research assistant at various universities. In 1995, she completed her habilitation at the University of Tübingen . From 1995 to 1998 she was a substitute professor at the University of Kaiserslautern . Since 1998 she has been a professor of educational psychology at the Martin Luther University in Halle (Saale) . The professorship has been suspended since the state parliament moved in in 2011.

politics

In the 1970s, Dalbert was politically active in the Socialist Independent Student Initiative. In 2007 she joined the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party. In the same year she became an assessor on the party's board of directors in the Halle (Saale) city association. In 2008 she became the spokesperson for the Education Section of the Saxony-Anhalt State Association. At the 24th state party conference in 2008 in Köthen , she was elected with 83.0% as state chairman alongside co-chairman Christoph Erdmenger . She named education policy as the main topic of her work. In 2010 she was confirmed in office for another two years.

Claudia Dalbert ran as a direct candidate in the Bundestag election 2009 in the Bundestag constituency of Halle and received 8.1% of the first votes.

She was nominated by her party as a top candidate for the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt in 2011 and 2016 , moved into the state parliament and was chairwoman of the state parliamentary group until she was appointed minister. On April 26, 2016, Dalbert announced to the President of the State Parliament of Saxony-Anhalt that she was waiving the mandate. On May 4, 2016, Wolfgang Aldag moved into the state parliament as a substitute from the state election proposal BÜNDNIS 90 / DIE GRÜNEN.

As of May 13, 2016, Dalbert, as a member of the state government, is also a full member of the Commission for the Storage of Highly Radioactive Waste Materials (Repository Commission) according to Section 3 of the Site Selection Act .
