Roman pilgrimage

The Roman Pilgrims' Office ( Italian : Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi , short OPR ) is the Vatican Pilgrims Office.

The office was opened in 1933 by Pope Pius XI. founded to use tourism and pilgrimages for evangelization . In particular, pilgrimages are organized to the main destinations of Christianity such as Lourdes , Fatima , Santiago de Compostela , Czestochowa , the Holy Land and many other destinations. Since 2007 there has been a cooperation with the Italian airline Mistral Air .

The pilgrims' office is subordinate to the Roman cardinal vicar .
