The Ministry for the Environment, Agriculture, Nature and Consumer Protection of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (short form: MULNV NRW ) is one of twelve ministries of the North Rhine-Westphalian state government.
The ministry is based in Düsseldorf - Golzheim . The responsible minister in the Laschet cabinet has been Ursula Heinen-Esser ( CDU ) since May 29, 2018 . You stand Heinrich Bottermann as verbeamteter Secretary of State and Deputy Ministers to the side.
Organization and tasks of the ministry
In its area of responsibility, the ministry prepares state laws that are dealt with and passed by the state parliament - the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament. It is involved in drawing up federal laws through the Federal Council. It applies federal and state laws as well as European law and ensures compliance by the local authorities. The ministry is also dedicated to providing information, support, advice and financial support to citizens, social institutions, businesses and companies to protect people, the environment and the climate.
The ministry is divided into the following eight departments:

- IV. Circular economy , soil protection , water management
- V. Immission control , environment and health , genetic engineering
- VI. Consumer protection
