Cabinet Kraft I.

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kraft I cabinet formed the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia from July 15, 2010 to June 21, 2012 . The Social Democratic Party and the party Alliance 90 / The Greens formed after the state election in 2010 a minority government that could be based on any own parliamentary majority. The cabinet of Prime Minister Hannelore Kraft therefore worked with changing majorities when passing laws.

On March 14, 2012, the cabinet's draft budget was rejected by a majority of members of the state parliament. As a result, Kraft declared that he wanted to bring about new elections. On the same day, the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia unanimously decided to dissolve itself . The new election took place on May 13, 2012.
