Cabinet Clement I
The Clement I cabinet formed the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia from June 9, 1998 to June 27, 2000 . It was able to defend its majority in the NRW state elections in May 2000 . Clement was elected in 1998 to succeed Johannes Rau, who had resigned after almost 20 years in office.
