Cabinet Rau IV
The Cabinet Rau IV formed of 12 June 1990 to 17 July 1995, the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia . It was formed by Prime Minister Johannes Rau after the state elections on May 13, 1990 . Rau had been Prime Minister since September 1978 and remained so until May / June 1998. It was (as of 2014) the last pure SPD cabinet. Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen NRW barely made it into the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia in the state elections on May 13, 1990 ; However, the SPD won 122 of 237 state parliament mandates and was able to form a sole government.
