The Ministry for Energy Transition , Agriculture, Environment, Nature and Digitization of the State of Schleswig-Holstein ( MELUND SH ) is one of seven ministries of the Schleswig-Holstein state government .

The current head of office in Günther's cabinet is Minister Jan Philipp Albrecht ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). He has held this office since September 1, 2018. Dorit Kuhnt and Tobias Goldschmidt stand by his side as state secretaries.

The ministry is responsible for the following topics, among others:

The ministry consists of a total of seven departments and the staff areas that support the minister.

Department 1 (General Department) is responsible for organization, budget, personnel, information technology and legal services.
Department 2 (Agriculture, Veterinary Affairs and Fisheries) is responsible for animal welfare and the animal disease fund in addition to the areas mentioned.
Department 3 (digitization and central IT management of the state government) takes care of digitization and e-government.
Department 4 (Water Management, Marine and Coastal Protection; Federal Commissioner for Hydraulic Engineering) is also responsible for the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park in addition to the areas mentioned.
Department 5 (nature conservation and forestry) takes care of species protection and landscape planning.
Department 6 (energy and climate protection, technical environmental protection) is responsible for climate protection, energy policy, but also for materials and waste management.
Department 7 (reactor safety and radiation protection) takes care of fundamental issues relating to nuclear technology and its decommissioning and dismantling permits.

Numerous offices, institutions and authorities are subordinate to the ministry.
