Dorit Kuhnt

Dorit Kuhnt (born July 21, 1958 ) is a German graduate geographer and State Secretary in the Ministry for Energy Transition, Agriculture, Environment, Nature and Digitization of the State of Schleswig-Holstein in the Günther cabinet .

Life

Dorit Kuhnt studied geography at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. In 1987 she did her doctorate on the behavior of pesticides in the soil. After a teaching position at the university in 1987/88, from 1988 she was the department head for soil chemistry at the Schleswig-Holstein State Geological Office. In 1990 he was delegated to the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of the Environment to develop the soil protection program. After several lectureships, she has been deputy head of the water management, marine and coastal protection department since 2014.

She succeeded Anke Erdmann in April 2019 , who ended her position as State Secretary on March 26, 2019.
