Tobias Goldschmidt

Tobias Goldschmidt (born September 16, 1981 in Haselünne ) is a German political scientist and political official . Since June 28, 2017, he has been State Secretary in the Ministry for Energy Transition, Agriculture, Environment, Nature and Digitization of the State of Schleswig-Holstein .

Career

Goldschmidt studied political science at the Free University of Berlin and at Georgetown University in Washington, DC , from which he graduated with a diploma. Before joining the ministry, he worked as a communications consultant.

Goldschmidt has been a civil servant in the Ministry for Energy Transition, Agriculture, Environment, Nature and Digitalization since 2012. He was initially head of the department of the coordination office and head of the energy policy department, then head of department for fundamental questions of energy, agricultural and environmental policy. On June 28, 2017, he was appointed State Secretary.

He is married and has three children.
