The Kaarst wind farm is located north of the federal highway 52 in the north of the urban area of Kaarst , on the border with Willich . It consists of six wind turbines .

history

The first five wind turbines were designed and built in 2006 by Pommer & Schwarz ErneuerbareEnergienGesellschaft mbH . These are Vestas V80 wind turbines with an output of 2.0 MW each. The owner of the systems is KGAL Investment Management GmbH & Co. KG . The sixth wind turbine that was already planned could only be erected in 2008. For this purpose, the location of this plant had to be moved 30 m in the direction of Kaarst; in the original planning, the wind turbine would have been too close to the border with Willich.

technology

The six wind turbines have a total installed capacity of 12 MW.
