The Bregenz Music School is the music school in the city of Bregenz in Vorarlberg . The main building of the music school is the Villa Liebenstein , which is a listed building.

Villa Liebenstein

The builder of the villa was the imperial and royal lieutenant and landowner in Rieden Freiherr Gustav Adolf von Liebenstein. From 1880 the building was used by Alwin Hauser as a private, officially authorized business school with boarding school. At the beginning of the 20th century the building had several owners, which is why the use of the villa as a commercial school was ended in 1902. The commercial school became the Lustenau commercial school through relocation . In 1910 the villa became the property of the Schoeller family . After the Second World War , the French occupying forces used the villa as an office. In 1953 the villa was again owned by the Schoeller woolen spinning mill. Since 1982 the villa has belonged to the city of Bregenz, which uses the villa as a municipal music school.
