Mustafa Djamgoz

Mustafa Bilgin Ali Djamgoz (* 1952 , Nicosia , Cyprus ) is a biologist and known for his cancer research at Imperial College London , where he is also a university professor.

biography

Djamgoz was born in Nicosia to a Turkish Cypriot family. In 1970 he emigrated to the United Kingdom to study at Imperial College London , where he did research in neurobiology and cancer biology and was then professor in both fields. He is a scientific advisor to the Medical Research Council (UK) and the Wellcome Trust . In 2002 Djamgoz set up the Pro Cancer Research Fund .
